This weekend was a bit of a mixed bag. Bit hectic but some chilling done too!
Friday evening was Alfie’s Christmas party at his nursery. It started off in the soft play area where Alfie was running round with his friends then went to sit with his favourite nursery worker to make some reindeer food. We were then taken over to the theatre barn for a show from some naughty elves and finished off with a Christmas singalong in the enchanted forest! It was a lovely evening and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Saturday was really busy. We visited both of Alfie’s great-nanny’s and gave them a copy of Alfie’s nursery photo which they both loved. Then we had a birthday party to attend which was lots of fun. Alfie was knackered and went to bed nice and early on Saturday. Daddy was out at his Christmas party so Mummy got an evening in front of the TV, watching a film, eating chocolate and drinking tea – bliss!
Sunday was a bit more chilled. Daddy had some last minute Christmas shopping to do so Alfie and I spent the morning at soft play. It’s a brilliant local one that opened a few months ago – I am going to a more in depth review of it in another post. But I was lucky enough to win a 3 month unlimited pass, so we’ll be spending a lot of time there in the next few weeks!
Then we headed home to do make our Christmas cards (detailed post coming on this once they’ve been given out!) whilst watching Ice Age 4. After dinner we settled down and watched Home Alone. I always forget how much I love this film – such a classic! I then made some lovely Christmas fudge once Alfie was in bed – more on that later!
We have been so busy the past few weekends and have a jam packed weekend next week that I was glad to just have some chill time at home this week – even though it means I didn’t have much to write about this week!
Next week will be a lot busier! What did you get up to this weekend?
