When I was asked if I’d like to review a Hotmilk Nursing bra, I jumped at the chance!
Being 25 weeks pregnant, I’m obviously not nursing yet, but that is the fab thing about the Hotmilk range – all their nursing bras double as maternity bras, so you don’t need to buy twice. So here is my Hotmilk Lingerie Maternity and Nursing Bra Review.
After measuring myself, I was sent a bra in my size and I couldn’t wait to try it out. I was sent the Eclipse Black Nursing Bra which is absolutely gorgeous. It’s black silky material makes you feel amazing when it’s on, but the soft material and lack of underwire mean its a dream to wear. It also has a pretty little diamante detail on the front.
The straps have nursing clips on them, which make your breasts accessible for when you are breastfeeding and the back has 6 sets of hooks to allow you to adjust the size of your bra as your breasts grow throughout pregnancy and when your milk supply is changing and is up and down.
I have to admit the bra is slightly too big for me at the moment, but this means it has a bit of growing room. I remember when I was pregnant with Alfie, my breasts definitely got bigger in the last few weeks, and became even more “Jordan-esq” once my milk came in! The Eclipse Nursing bra is designed with a stretch top to allow for growth, so I’m confident this will be a perfect fit when I’m breastfeeding.
Hotmilk Lingerie is one of the few companies I have come across that actually do lovely and pretty bras that fit and work well as a maternity and nursing bra. In my last pregnancy my maternity bras were so frumpy, and when I look back now, did absolutely nothing for me! This bra however manages to hold up my breasts and make them look like they did pre-children – a mean feat for any bra!
Hotmilk have an excellent range of maternity and nursing bras, so if you are pregnant and planning to breastfeed I’d highly recommend checking them out. Please do make sure you measure yourself correctly though – I can guarantee your back size is smaller and your cup size is bigger than you think and if you want a comfortable bra, the most important thing is that you are wearing the correct size. I can’t wait to start breastfeeding and try this out as a nursing bra too!
