“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
– Kahlil Gibran
The Living Arrows linky is run by Donna of What The Redhead Said. It’s a weekly linky where you share a photo of your child/children from the week before. I’m aiming to join in every week so I can have a full 53 posts (hopefully) by the end of the year.
This has been our first week as a family of four, and my god it’s been busy! We’ve mostly had visitors to meet the new arrival all week which has been lovely. Alfie had a few days at nursery before his days reduce down to once a week, so it was nice to have some time to tidy and sort the house without Hurricane Alfie around!
We’ve also been doing lots of normal, family stuff. Craig is still on paternity leave, so it’s been lovely having him around to help out around the house. Having had a caesarean, I’m trying to take it easy as much as I can while I have help! I can’t drive so it’s been nice to get out of the house while we have the opportunity as I’ll be a bit stuck for a few weeks when Craig goes back to work.
As well as having lots of visitors this week, we registered Henry on Monday so he’s now “official”! We also went to a wedding on Friday which was great fun!
Having Alfie has meant that we’ve had to get up and get out so he doesn’t get bored stuck round the house and that’s actually been great at getting us out and about. It can be so easy to stay stuck indoors when you’ve just had a baby, but for me especially I think it’s important to make the effort to go out otherwise I think I’d go a little bit crazy!
My photo of Alfie this week is him taking a photo of his dinner – a true blogger’s kid right there!! We bought him a camera when Henry was born and he absolutely loves it. He takes photos of his baby brother all the time, and all the visitors we’ve had. It’s been great at keeping him occupied and connecting with his brother.
My photo of Henry this week is from the wedding we went to. The outfit I originally had for him was far too big so I had to find something else – I thought these Lamb and Bear leggings were perfect as they are so cute! It’s very strange having such a small baby, I’m not used to it!
