Yesterday I wrote a post about my preference for a girl when we went to find out the sex of the baby at our 20 week scan. This is my post about our little gender reveal!
Firstly, I’d like to say that all we wanted was a healthy baby. We had no reason to suspect there would be any health issues, but if course you don’t know until you get there.
We were taken through all the separate bits of the scan as they were checked – heart, kidneys, legs, arms, hands, lips, placenta, umbilical cord. Everything got a big tick that all was well! The baby was a bit of a wriggler (standard) so the sonographer had a bit of trouble getting the right details of the heart. In fact, I had to turn on my side a number of times to get the baby to move in the right position! But eventually all the correct measurements and photos were taken, and we were asked if we wanted to find out the sex.
So she had a little move around and showed us the screen.
I was in shock! But so excited to be having another little boy. As much as I wanted a girl, I very much welcome having a boy. Alfie will be adorable with a little brother, and at least we know what we are getting with a boy!
We are beyond excited to be adding to our family, and I can’t wait to be a mum of two perfect little boys xx
