“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
– Kahlil Gibran
The Living Arrows linky is run by Donna of What The Redhead Said. It’s a weekly linky where you share a photo of your child/children from the week before. I’m aiming to join in every week so I can have a full 53 posts (hopefully) by the end of the year.
We didn’t have many plans last week, which meant a whole week of trying to keep the kids entertained on my own! I have been struggling with keeping Alfie entertained a bit. We do lots of baking, and colouring and also try and get out in the garden or to the park at least once a day! But I’m starting to realise that I have a whole years worth of activities to plan for him, so I definitely need to look into some local groups we can attend.
We did have a lovely afternoon out with Alfie’s nursery who organised a river walk and invited the mums to join for Mother’s Day. This was really lovely to see Alfie interacting with his nursery friends and also to meet some of the parents of his friends who I didn’t previously know.
We also went to Hyde Hall as part of Essex Big Weekend where we had won a pair of free tickets. They happened to have a bunny hunt on so we took part in that which Alfie loved!
Unfortunately I came down with tonsilitus on Sunday so spent the day in bed. Craig luckily entertained Alfie for the day so I just had to concentrate on Henry. When I wasn’t sleeping, I used the opportunity to take some funny pictures of Henry as I have realised I don’t have that many of him!
I’m still feeling rough from the tonsilitus today but reluctant to get antibiotics due to breastfeeding so I’m going to see how I go this week. Wish me luck!
