“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
– Khlil Gibran
The Living Arrows linky is run by Donna of What The Redhead Said. It’s a weekly linky where you share a photo of your child/children from the week before. I’m aiming to join in every week so I can have a full 53 posts (hopefully) by the end of the year.
This week was a fun, snow filled week! The Beast from the East hit us a little bit on Tuesday and then with full force on Wednesday and Thursday so we had a very snowy filled week! This did mean we were stuck at home and had to deal with a broken down car too!
I love that Alfie has already seen and played in the snow twice in his 2 short years of life and Henry has experienced it at just 4 weeks! although it was slightly annoying when we spent 20 minutes getting ready to head out in the snow – both boys in layers of warm clothes, coats, hats, gloves, scarfs and wellies – for Alfie to then complain he was a “little chilly” after 5 minutes in the garden and we had to go in for hot chocolate and biscuits.
It was also my birthday on Saturday, which we spent with friends celebrating their little girls birthday. We then went to a gymnastics session for Alfie on Sunday which he had a brilliant time at, followed by brunch with my brother and sister-in-law. The boys bought me a gorgeous necklace with their names engraved on for my birthday (with a little help from Daddy!) and then we had cake and they sung happy birthday to me!
I love these photos of all of us – they aren’t the best in technical terms, but they are just a perfect snapshot of our every day life together. I am loving doing these weekly posts and think it will be lovely to look back next year at how my boys have grown.
