Happy anniversary to my wonderful husband.
This day 4 years ago I married my childhood sweetheart.
We met at 17 and have been inseparable ever since.
Our wedding day was amazing. I had everything I wanted and it was such fun. People still tell us now how great our wedding was. From the little personal touches like the handmade place cards and charity favours to the homemade photo booth and wishing well. The dance floor was full all night and we have great memories of dancing to everything from dubstep to Whitney to Queen.
We chose to get married in a church as it meant a lot to me. It was the church I’d attended as a child, where I was christened, where my grandparents married, where Alfie was eventually christened as well. It’s a beautiful little church and to see it full on the day with our family and friends was wonderful.
We had an absolutely amazing entourage of friends and family supporting us as groomsmen and bridesmaids, and my nephew was our cute little page boy.
Our venue was superb – I’d always dreamed of having our reception in a barn, and the place we found was absolutely stunning.
I’ve always said that I would get married all over again. I loved everything about planning our wedding – even the things that stressed me out like making all the invites myself. I keep saying that I’d love to renew our vows on our 10th wedding anniversary. Hopefully by then we will have completed our family, be in our own house, and have more reasons than ever to get all our friends and family together to celebrate our marriage so far.
This year marks a decade that Craig and I have been together, yet it feels like no time at all. We are pretty lucky that we haven’t been through many hard times and have had a relatively easy relationship. Even since having Alfie, not much has changed.
I’m thankful for every day we have together and look forward to many, many more.
I love you Mr Jones. Always and Forever xx
