Ok, so after my complete failure of a blog post yesterday, let’s see if this one is any better!!
Write a letter to your future self
I think it’s easier to talk to my future self, because there is so much I want to achieve, and I can invisage it happening. I can’t change the past, but I can change the future. Let’s imagine I’m talking to myself in 10 years time – I’ll be 37 years old.
Dear Future Abi,
I hope you reading this whilst sitting in your lovely dream home – I hope it has a kitchen-diner, at least four bedrooms, a playroom for the kids, a sewing room for you, a man cave for Craig and a big garden for you to entertain in! I hope you have at least two kids under your feet, if not three (did you get to have your twins??!!).
I hope you knuckled down and refined your novel and got it out there. Even if you didn’t get it published, I hope you shared it with people. I know how hard you worked to get it started, it would be a shame for it to just be sat on your laptop doing nothing.
I hope you’re in a job you’re happy with – whether it be at the same place as you were 10 years ago, or somewhere completely different, doing something completely different.
I hope you got your marriage vow renewal at 10 years like you always said you would do – and I hope you wore an amazing dress, and had your children there to celebrate with you.
I hope you’re still a great mum to your children. Whether you have one, two, three or if Craig got his own way, six, children, I hope you treat them all as they deserve to be treated. I hope you love them with all your heart and cherish every moment you have with them.
Mostly, I just hope you’re happy. Whatever you’re doing, whoever you’re with, wherever you’re living – be happy. Surround yourself with people who make you happy, and do what you can to make those around you happy.
